BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Approximately 16 kilometres from Kota Belud town is a homestay that promises tranquil atmosphere. Owned by Setia Indan, Taginambur Homestay has been in operation for the past seven years. Mount Kinabalu is quite near from Taginambur Homestay and the hectic atmosphere of tamu (or open market) in Kota Belud town has made Taginambur Village as a transit point for visitors. Beside climbing Mount Kinabalu, visitors can stay at the homestay and experience the daily routine of traditional activities such as rubber tapping or working at the paddy field, or simply enjoy a swim in a nearby Kedamaian River. On Sundays, visitors can explore the open market atKota Belud, which is located only about 10 minutes drive from the village.
