BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Moido Waloi Homestay is run by the local community of Abai Village located close to the mouth of the Kinabatangan River, the longest and largest river in Sabah, Malaysian Borneo. This village has about forty houses with total population of a hundred people. This village is well known for its matured durian trees and during fruit season the branches are laden with the thorny treasures known in Malaysia as the ‘King Of Fruits’. The locals in this region are traditional fisherman; every home has a view of the majestic river and has a boat as a means of transportation. The main activity of visitors to this region predominantly wildlife viewing from Orangutan to Borneo Pygmy Elephant to many others!
